Winona-Ryder

Winona Ryder (born Winona Laura Hornowitz) was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named her for her hometown. Michel Horowitz' father was an author and editor, as were Cynthia Palmer and her mother. Ryder's dad came from a Jewish family. Ryder considers her self Jewish. Ryder is the younger sister of Uria and half-siblings Jubal as well as Sunyata. Ryder as well as her entire family moved to Mendocino, California at the age of seven. Ryder was just seven. The family was in a house that didn't have electricity. There was no television books was her only source of entertainment for her time, and she began to read extensively. Ryder was 12 when she took up a place at the American Conservatory Theatre for acting classes in the year 1983. Lucas The film from 1986 that she was in, was her debut major part. Ryder was 15 at the time she was cast. Ryder suffered bullying in her high school. Her thought was that by becoming an actor, her behavior was going to be corrected. Unfortunately, that did not take place. However, she pushed on with her dreams. In 1988, she got her big break in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder was able to continue playing roles that were successful in several movies. In 1993 Ryder was twice nominated to win Academy Awards. One of the nominations was for her part in The Age of Innocence.
