April Ross

April Ross, a beach volleyball star American, is among a select set of women who've won medals in more than one Olympics. Alix Kallineman will play alongside April Ross Tokyo in order to claim her third gold medal during the next few days. Ross's objective is her first Olympic gold medal. This could be the final time she has the chance when she turns 39. Still confident nevertheless. Ross, via NBC Boston, said that He was certain that we can win a gold medal if we played our best. Additionally, I'm going attempt to get fortunate. Ross is born in the year 1982. Costa Mesa California where she lived with her parents and her sister. Ross participated in various sports while attending Newport Harbor High School. She was a basketball player and also ran track, in addition to her indoor volleyball accomplishments in her time as a college athlete. She was clearly the best player in indoor volleyball. According to her biography, she was a middle blocker and outside hitter in the volleyball court throughout her high-school career. She was named one of the Gatorade National Circle of Champions player of the Year in 1999, for her performance. She also won her an Orange County Athlete of the Year award in 2000. Even though Ross and Klineman have been doing their thing from 2017 onward, the former was already an established participant on the beaches way before they teamed up. Her name has appeared in major events twice, with various partners. One of them has become an iconic player in the volleyball world. From 2007 to 2013 she teamed alongside Jennifer Kessy who more recently played the role of Klineman's coach. Along with Kessy Ross was awarded the World Championship in 2009 while competing in the international circuit. The two eventually clinched one silver medal in the 2012 Olympic Games in London. They were beaten out for the gold by the legendary duo consisting of Misty June-Treanor and Kerri Walsh (Jennings). As fate would have it Ross became Walsh Jennings' new partner as May-Treanor stepped down. The team won bronze in beach volleyball at Rio Olympics 2016. Ross participated in the Trojans of USC in her high school after she finished in high school. And her run through the institution was one to remember. It was her time to be an All-American and Pac-10 Freshman of Year in the year 2000. In 2000, her Trojans even made it to the Final Four. During her sophomore season, she suffered a tremendous personal loss but still managed to be a second All-American. In her last two years, she took the Trojans to the top of the mountain and won consecutive national titles. Individually she had cemented herself as an all-time great having won the 2003-04 Honda Sports Award as the highest ranked female volleyball player. Ross majored in the field of international relations in USC. Margie Ross, Ross' mother, never had the opportunity to witness her daughter turn into the beach volleyball's biggest star. At the time of 2001, while Ross was in her sophomore year on the campus of USC her mother died of cancer of the breast. Yet, she is able to keep her mother's memory close and close. Margie is a constant source of inspiration for her both in and out of the water.
