Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin, a Canadian-New Zealander actress. Paquin is a native of Winnipeg and grew up in Wellington and first made her acting debut in the role of Flora McGrath when she played the character of Flora McGrath in The Piano. She won an Academy Award at the age of 11 to be the Best Actress Supporting Actress. Anna Paquin is full Anna Helene Paquin born on the 24th of July, 1982 in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian actor and New Zealander, who, when she was a child, won the Academy Award in 1993 for the most outstanding supporting actress. The actress played the fierce daughter of Holly Hunter's character on the film The Piano. Following a prompt to auditions open when she was nine and having no previous experience in acting, she won Flora McGrath's role. Flora is the daughter of the Scottish pianist who was mute. The couple were relocated into New Zealand during the middle of the nineteenth century to arrange a marriage. As a teenager, she moved into the United States. Paquin began her career in the midst of her childhood with a character in the Jane Eyre protagonist in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre followed by she played a significant role in Fly Away Home. Paquin was the character Frankie Addams as a child in the television film adaptation Carson McCullers novel The Member of the Wedding. Paquin was also in the role of the queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's 1997 movie Amistad. She played teenagers on Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000), A Walk on the Moon (2000). Also, she portrayed the teen groupie Polexia Aphrodisa in Almost Famous (2000).
