Anna Silk was born at St. Thomas University in Fredericton in New Brunswick, Canada. She is the daughter Peter Silk - an academic - and Ilkay Silk, an accomplished actress as well as a writer, director, and producer. Anna Silk's father was British, as is her mother, an Turkish Cypriot English expat. She remembers watching her mother work at play rehearsals. Anna was featured in a variety of advertisements when she was a child. Anna moved to Toronto in Ontario in order to pursue acting. The decade following, she moved to Los Angeles.
